Melania Trump Threatens $1 Billion Lawsuit Against Hunter Biden Over Epstein Allegation
The former First Lady, Melania Trump, has issued a blistering legal warning to Hunter Biden after he made explosive claims linking her to disgraced sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Her demand? A full retraction. And a staggering $1 billion in damages if he refuses.
The row stems from remarks Biden made during a recent interview with British journalist Andrew Callaghan. In it, he alleged that Epstein was responsible for introducing Melania to Donald Trump, a claim she categorically rejects.
According to her lawyer, Alejandro Brito, the accusations are “false, defamatory and extremely salacious.”
Biden’s controversial statement has drawn fresh attention to Epstein’s long history of political connections, many of which remain under the spotlight amid ongoing efforts to unseal grand jury files in the Epstein case.
In a formal letter to Biden, Brito stated the comments had been circulated widely online and picked up by international media, inflicting “overwhelming financial and reputational harm” on the former First Lady.
Biden made the controversial claim while taking aim at “elites” within the Democratic Party, whom he blames for undermining his father’s political run
“Epstein introduced Melania to Trump. The connections are, like, so wide and deep,” he said, citing author Michael Wolff as his source. Melania has previously branded Wolff a “Third reporter” and accused him of fabricating stories to boost book sales.
The legal threat mirrors a well-known Trump family tactic: using the courts to hit back hard at critics. Yet, legal experts note that public figures like the Trumps face significant hurdles when pursuing defamation cases in the US.
Donald and Melania Trump have consistently maintained that their first meeting took place in 1998, introduced by modelling agent Paolo Zampolli at a New York Fashion Week party.
This latest feud adds another chapter to the long-running, high-profile tensions between the Biden and Trump camps — and it shows no sign of cooling down.
