A teenage girl stabbed in Northolt was rushed to hospital following a violent incident near a West London school on Wednesday evening (April 16). The incident took place on Godfrey Avenue, near Alec Reed Academy in Northolt, triggering an immediate response from emergency services.

Police were called to the scene at approximately 8.15pm, where they discovered a young female with a head injury.

The London Ambulance Service confirmed she had sustained a cut to the head and was promptly taken to the hospital for further treatment. Fortunately, her injuries have been deemed non-life-threatening.

Police arrested a man at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH), and he remains in custody as enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 8.14pm today (16 April) to reports of a stabbing near Godfrey Avenue, UB5. We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an incident response officer, and a member of our tactical response unit. We treated a teenager at the scene and took her to a hospital.”

The Metropolitan Police also issued a statement: “Police were called at approximately 20:15hrs on Wednesday, 16 April to reports of a stabbing in Godfrey Avenue, Northolt.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found a woman suffering a cut to the head; she was taken to the hospital – her injury is not life-threatening. A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of GBH and remains in custody.

A crime scene was put in place while the incident was dealt with. Enquiries into the circumstances continue. Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD6857/16Apr.”

The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, particularly given the proximity to a school. Police have established a crime scene and are continuing their investigation to determine the full circumstances surrounding the attack.

Residents are urged to remain vigilant and to come forward with any information that may help the ongoing investigation.
