Emma Willis Sparks Surprise on This Morning as Andi Peters Calls to ‘Stop the Show’ Over Fish Confession
During Monday’s episode of ITV’s This Morning, presenter Andi Peters was left stunned after co-host Emma Willis made a surprising revelation about her diet, she doesn’t eat fish.
Andi and Emma have been part of the show’s summer presenting team, stepping in while regular hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard take their well-earned breaks. The line-up also features familiar faces like Alison Hammond, Dermot O’Leary, and Olivia Attwood.
As the show kicked off, Andi, noticeably sweating, and Emma greeted viewers before turning their attention to the kitchen, where chef Elliot Grover was prepping a dish intriguingly called “fish in a bag.”
Emma didn’t hold back her honesty. “I would say that looks delicious, but I don’t eat fish,” she confessed. Chef Elliot encouraged her, saying, “Well, today you’re going to have to eat around the corners and eat some of that wonderful courgette… Wait and see, you’ll love it.”
Andi’s reaction was immediate and humorous: “Whoa, whoa, whoa. Stop this show! You don’t eat fish?!” He continued with a playful jab: “So when they come up to you in the restaurant and they go, ‘any dietary requirements’, fussy television presenters!”
Emma was quick to clarify, “It’s a choice, not a necessity,” adding that she once tried a prawn on the show out of curiosity: “I did eat a prawn on this show once. Just because I’d never eaten a prawn, and I was like I’ll give it a go.”
Andi wasn’t finished teasing, pressing further, “I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t eat fish. Not even a fish finger sandwich?” Emma admitted, “I do like a fish finger sandwich… But is it really fish?”
The candid exchange brought a light-hearted moment to the usually smooth-running daytime show.
