A woman in her 40s tragically lost her life after being struck by a moped during a rush hour incident in West London. The collision took place on King Street, Hammersmith, shortly after 5.40pm on Friday, August 22.
Emergency services were called to the busy street following reports of a serious crash involving a bicycle and a moped. On arrival, paramedics discovered the cyclist with critical injuries. Despite their best efforts to resuscitate her, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the moped left the scene on foot, and officers are making enquiries to locate them.

The moped rider involved in the collision is believed to have fled the scene on foot. Police are now actively hunting for the individual responsible.
The incident has left local residents shaken. King Street, a bustling area of Hammersmith lined with shops, restaurants, and commuter traffic, was shut down as officers began their investigation.
Met Police have urged anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who has dashcam or CCTV footage from the area at the time, to come forward.
