Tottenham eye Crystal Palace star in summer swoop: Reports
Tottenham are stirring the pot in London’s transfer market yet again, now turning their gaze to a Crystal Palace defender as their recruitment drive continues at full tilt.

With the arrival of Thomas Frank in the dugout and West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus already through the door, North London’s finest are not slowing down. The next name on their wishlist? Maxence Lacroix.
That’s according to French outlet L’Équipe, which reports the Lilywhites are eyeing the 25-year-old centre-back. But they’re not alone in the race. Interest is coming from abroad too—with Borussia Dortmund reportedly in the mix, alongside several Serie A clubs.
Still, Spurs appear determined. It’s no secret that Tottenham is keen to shore up its defence. Another name mentioned in connection is Bournemouth’s Ilya Zabarnyi, with reports from Italy’s Gianluca Di Marzio suggesting the club is exploring multiple options.
But landing Lacroix may not be straightforward. Crystal Palace, fresh off their FA Cup triumph, are in no mood to let their core players go without a fight. The South London side held firm last year amid heavy interest in Marc Guehi from Newcastle.
The same could be expected with Lacroix, especially given the continued buzz around Eberechi Eze and others.
“Palace showed last year how determined they can be in sales negotiations,” noted FourFourTwo, “managing to keep hold of Marc Guehi for another year despite intense interest from Newcastle United.”
Transfermarkt currently values Lacroix at €25 million—a price tag that may rise if a bidding war unfolds.
