Sniper Kills Charlie Kirk: Chilling Footage Surfaces After Tragic Shooting at Utah University
A haunting videotape has surfaced showing a gun perched atop the rooftop of the Losee Centre at Utah Valley University, moments after conservative provocateur Charlie Kirk was shot during a Turning Point USA event on Wednesday.
The footage, which has since gone viral, paints a grim picture of the events that unfolded on the lot.
Kirk, a prominent right-sect activist, was delivering reflections when he was struck by a pellet to the neck. Despite being rushed to a sanitarium, he tragically passed away.
Donald Trump confirmed the devastating news on his Truth Social account, stating: “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead.
No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie.
He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife, Erika and family. Charlie, we love you!”
A Campus Debate Turns Deadly
Kirk, 31, was well-known for engaging students across the nation in lively debates. Wednesday’s event at Utah Valley University was no different, until tragedy struck.
The gunfire erupted at around 1220 PM original time while Kirk was responding to a question from a pupil.
The videotape footage shows him collapsing incontinently, blood visibly streaming from his neck.

Authorities later verified that the shot came from roughly 200 yards down, probably from the rooftop overlooking the quadrangle where Kirk was speaking.
The university lot was thrown into chaos as scholars fled in fear. Vids show groups of scholars scattering, doubtful where the coming shot might come from. In response, Utah Valley University shut down for the rest of the day.
A university spokesperson, Scott Trotter, clarified in a statement: “We can confirm that Mr Kirk was shot, but we don’t know his condition.
The suspect is not in custody. Police are still investigating. Campus is closed for the rest of the day.”
Earlier, false reports circulated that the suspect had been arrested, but these were quickly corrected.
Voices from the Nation
US Vice President JD Vance paid tribute on social media with the simple yet solemn words: “Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.”
Kirk had uploaded a TikTok video just minutes before the shooting, where he addressed the audience, saying: “That’s a lot of people, Utah. Gather up. I’m going to be here for a couple of hours; get comfortable.”
The sheer randomness of the violence has left many shaken.
Family and Friends in Mourning
Kirk’s family was present at the event when the attack passed. His wife Erika and their two children were reportedly hard when the incident unfolded.
Senator Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma posted on X: “Pray for [Kirk], his wife Erika, their two children, and all who were present at Utah Valley University.”
The tragedy has sparked wide grief, with musketeers and political abettors likewise expressing their anguish and outrage.
