Whether you’re heading to work, travelling for leisure, or taking part in the Hackney Half-Marathon, being aware of the disruptions can save you a serious headache.

TfL is carrying out vital maintenance and upgrade works across several lines. Services on the underground, overground, DLR, and Elizabeth lines will be affected. Here’s everything you need to know about the planned London Tube closures so you can plan your route and avoid unnecessary delays.

Piccadilly Line

  • No service between Kings Cross St Pancras and Osterley/Uxbridge all day, including Night Tube.

Waterloo & City Line

  • Reminder: no weekend service.

If you’re travelling across the capital this weekend, take a moment to double-check your route. With widespread London Tube closures and service reductions, your usual journey may not be running as expected.

For real-time updates and alternative travel advice, TfL recommends using the TfL Go app or checking their website.

With essential upgrades and engineering works taking place, London Tube closures from May 16 to 18 will significantly impact several lines across the network.

Travellers are urged to plan ahead, use TfL’s real-time information tools, and consider alternative routes where necessary. A bit of foresight can mean the difference between a smooth ride and a frustrating delay.
