Katherine LaNasa Wins First Emmy for ‘The Pitt’
Katherine LaNasa has finally taken home her first Emmy. The actress was awarded Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards for her part as nanny Dana Evans in HBO Max’s absorbing medical drama, The Pitt.
LaNasa has been on defense for decades, with places in shows like Three Sisters and Katy Keene, but this time she truly made her mark.
Her performance in The Pitt drew praise for its honesty and emotional depth, impeccably landing the chaos and intensity of life in an exigency department.
The competition was fierce. Patricia Arquette for Severance, Julianne Nicholson in Paradise, and several stars from The White Lotus, Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, and Aimee Lou Wood, were all fighting for the same award.

Yet LaNasa stood out, winning on her very first nomination. The Pitt itself also had a strong night, picking up Outstanding Drama Series, while Noah Wyle was named Outstanding Lead Actor.
The series, which dives into the highs and lows of a trauma centre platoon, has easily resonated with both critics and cult, and an alternate season is currently set for January 2026.
When she accepted the award, LaNasa looked authentically moved.”I dedicate this award to my children and my husband,” she said, a moment of sincere emotion that stressed what the palm meant to her tête-à-tête as well as professionally.
This Emmy is a significant corner for LaNasa. Like fellow UK stars such as Stephen Graham, who recently won an Emmy Award for Adolescence, she has proven that British talent continues to shine on the global stage.
With The Pitt continuing to admit praise, suckers can look forward to seeing indeed more memorable performances from her in the seasons to come.
