Ethel Cain to Grace Cardiff Castle Stage in Summer 2026
American singer-songwriter Ethel Cain has confirmed a headline performance at Cardiff Castle as part of her expanded Willoughby Tucker Forever tour, scheduled for Friday 19 June 2026. The announcement adds to Cain’s growing UK and European tour dates.
The upcoming Cardiff show will follow Cain’s sold-out 2025 UK and European dates, which begin next Thursday at Manchester’s O2 Apollo and include five nights at London’s Eventim Apollo.
Tickets for the 2025 tour sold out within weeks of release, with 170,000 fans securing spots. Cain also recently added Australian and New Zealand dates due to overwhelming demand. Earlier this month, she concluded a critically acclaimed US leg and was confirmed for Coachella 2026.
Her latest release, Willoughby Tucker, I’ll Always Love You, acts as a prequel to her 2022 debut album, Preacher’s Daughter.
The album explores the story of Cain’s first love, Willoughby Tucker, and their intense, humid romance.

Ethel Cain is the artistic persona of Florida-born multidisciplinary artist Hayden Anhedönia.
She honed her skills independently in the Florida Panhandle before relocating to Indiana, where she wrote, produced, recorded, and mixed her 2021 EP Inbred from the basement of an old church.
Her debut reader, Preacher’s Son, released in May 2022, entered global sun from outlets including The New York Times, Vogue, W Magazine, and V Magazine.
Since also, Cain has also performed vended-out shows and jubilee sets worldwide, appeared at New York and Paris Fashion Weeks, and banded with Givenchy, Miu Miu, and Calvin Klein.
She has also participated tin he stage with artists similar to Florence the Machine and Mitski.
The Cardiff Castle show is presented as part of TK Maxx presents Depot Live at Cardiff Castle, organised by DEPOT Live and Cuffe and Taylor.

Ethel Cain will join Alter Bridge’s Blackbird Festival and David Gray as headline acts at Cardiff Castle next summer, with more artists expected to be announced.
