Man Dies in Road Accident with Lorry on A12 in Essex
A tragic crash involving a car and a lorry on the A12 in Boreham has claimed the life of a young man. Police are urgently seeking witnesses to help piece together what happened.
The collision occurred shortly after 2.45am on Friday, 8 August, on the northbound carriageway of the A12, between junctions 19 and 20. Emergency services were quick to respond, but sadly, the driver of the car, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Specialist officers are now supporting the deceased’s family during this incredibly difficult time.
The crash forced a lengthy closure of the A12, disrupting traffic while the emergency teams carried out their work.
The Essex Police Serious Collision Investigation Unit is leading the inquiry. They are calling on anyone with information or dashcam footage related to the incident to come forward.
Police have made a particular appeal: “They specifically want to hear from anyone who saw a Black Kia Picanto being driven on the Northbound A12 immediately prior to the collision and has not already made contact with police.”
