“It’s just so surreal,” Cooper said on stage. “Honestly, when I started these drama classes a couple of years back, I didn’t expect to be even in the United States, never mind here.
So I think tonight proves that if you listen and you focus and you step out of your comfort zone, you can achieve anything in life.”
The series Adolescence dominated the awards, securing multiple triumphs including Stylish Lead Actor for Stephen Graham(also-creator), Stylish Supporting Actress for Erin Doherty, Stylish Writing, Stylish Directing for Philip Barantini, and Stylish Limited or Anthology Series overall.
Hannah Einbinder, eventually winning after four nominations for Hacks, took home Stylish Supporting Actress in a Comedy.
She jokingly reflected on her history of losing: “But this is cool too!” she shouted, finishing with a bold statement against US Immigration and Customs Enforcement and declaring, “Free Palestine!”
Apple TV+’s The Studio proved a comedy powerhouse, claiming Best Comedy Series and Best Actor in a Comedy Series for Seth Rogen.
Meanwhile, HBO’s medical drama The Pitt swept the drama categories, including Best Drama Series, Best Actor for Noah Wyle, and Best Supporting Actress for Katherine LaNasa.
