The United States and Saudi Arabia have pushed their long-standing relationship into a new phase, attesting a major civil nuclear agreement alongside a defence deal involving the upcoming trade of F-35 fighter jets, the White House announced on Tuesday.
The agreements were finalised during Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visit to Washington, marking a significant moment in their political and strategic cooperation.
Civil Nuclear Pact Sets Long-Term Energy Framework
According to the White House, the two countries have signed a “joint declaration” on civil nuclear energy. The document, it said, “builds the legal foundation for a decades-long, multi-billion-dollar nuclear energy partnership” that meets “strong nonproliferation standards.”
This agreement lays out how the United States will help Saudi Arabia develop its nuclear energy sector under strict transnational guidelines to ensure peaceful use.
US F-35 Stealth Jets Sale Deepens Defence Partnership
On the defence side, President Donald Trump has approved a major military package including unborn delivery of F-35 covert aircraft, among the most advanced fighter jets in the world. These spurts point to slice-edge radar elusion and ultramodern combat systems.

While specific delivery details remain undisclosed, the move highlights a growing military cooperation. For Saudi Arabia, the appearance of F-35s would significantly boost its air force capabilities and support its role as a crucial US supporter in the region.
Strengthened Cooperation Across Security and Energy
US officers emphasised that both the nuclear agreement and the aircraft trade reflect a broader trouble to consolidate cooperation across security, energy, and indigenous stability.
For everyday spectators, the communication is clear that both nations are investing in a long-term cooperation based on shared strategic interests and advanced technological collaboration.
