007 First Light Release Date Confirmed Alongside $300 Legacy Edition
Excitement is building for James Bond fans. IO Interactive, the studio behind the Hitman series, has revealed the release date for its upcoming espionage action game, 007 First Light.
The announcement came during a dedicated State of Play showcase yesterday. Fans got a closer look at new gameplay that, while familiar in its tactical stealth approach, promises a distinct experience from the Hitman series.
Patrick Gibson, known for his role in Dexter: Original Sin, will star as the young James Bond. “This is Bond in his early days at MI6,” IO Interactive explained. “Players will explore how he becomes the iconic spy we all know.”
Rising Pre-order
For those eager to get their hands on the game early, pre-orders come with a neat bonus. Players will automatically receive the Deluxe Edition at no extra cost.
This edition, normally priced at $70, includes 24-hour early access, four stylish Bond outfits, Day of the Dead, Desert Explorer, Silent Anchor, and Gentleman Operator—plus exclusive weapon and item skins like the Gleaming Lighter, Earphones, Phone, and Pen.
The $300 Legacy Edition
Collectors and die-hard fans might be tempted by the Legacy Edition, priced at $300. It’s a lavish package: the full game, all Deluxe Edition content, plus a Golden Gun weapon skin, the Obsidian Gold Suit, and a Golden Gun replica with a stand and secret compartment.
From stealth to shootouts, 007 First Light delivers high-stakes spycraft, explosive combat, and the ultimate test of your skills.

Launching On
The timing is intriguing. 007 First Light will officially launch on 27 March 2026, a couple of months before GTA 6, giving it a clear runway and plenitude of attention from gamers empty for blockbuster releases.
Whether you’re an expert asset sucker or just curious about Bond’s origins, 007 First Light promises a fresh, action-packed take on one of the most iconic characters in gaming and film.
