The EuroMillions jackpot has rolled over once again – and it’s now an eye-watering £185 million.
Friday night’s draw saw no one scoop the top prize, leaving the colossal sum still up for grabs ahead of Tuesday’s draw. The winning numbers were 2, 12, 19, 34, 44, with Lucky Stars 6 and 10. But matching all seven numbers proved elusive.
By tomorrow night, the £172 million pot is set to soar to £185 million, sparking hopes and dreams for UK players.
While no one clinched the jackpot, three fortunate ticket-holders each pocketed £124,791.30 by matching five numbers and a Lucky Star.
Last week, Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at National Lottery operator Allwyn, described Friday’s potential prize as “jaw-dropping”.
“A single UK winner of this jaw-dropping prize would make National Lottery history, coming in as the fourth biggest National Lottery winner of all time, and it would also be the 20th win of over £100m since The National Lottery began,” he said.
To secure the EuroMillions’ top prize, players must match all five main numbers plus both Lucky Stars. There are 13 prize tiers, meaning even partial matches can still result in significant payouts.
If no one lands the jackpot tomorrow, the sum will roll over yet again, pushing it closer to the game’s cap of 250 million euros (£208 million).
Back in June, a single ticket sold in County Cork, Ireland, scooped the full €250 million – the biggest EuroMillions prize in history. The winning ticket was bought at Clifford’s Centra in Cork City.
Ted Clifford, the store’s owner, recalled the excitement: “It is fantastic news – this all kicked off on New Year’s Eve when we sold a 100,000 euro ticket to a local person. That’s when our luck, or winning streak, started.”
With millions dreaming of instant fortune, Tuesday’s draw could rewrite UK lottery history. Will it be another rollover – or a life-changing win for one lucky player?
