A 65-year-old woman is fighting for her life after a shocking hit-and-run incident in Lewisham late last night.
Emergency services rushed to Southend Lane, near the Lidl supermarket in Bellingham, shortly after 10.10pm on 31 October, following reports that a woman had been hit by a vehicle. The driver fled the scene, leaving the woman severely injured on the roadside.
She was rushed to the hospital, where she remains in a critical condition more than 12 hours after the incident. Her identity has not yet been released, though her family have been informed.
