Ukraine was hit by another major late assault as Russian forces launched swarms of drones, volley dumdums, and hypersonic munitions across the country.

The attack began late on 18 November and continued well into the early hours of 19 November, setting off air-raid enchantresses, civil and heightening enterprises over mercenary safety as downtime conditions strain.

Shahed Drone Strikes Cause Heavy Damage in Kharkiv

The shower opened with Shahed drones targeting the Sumy, Poltava, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Mykolaiv regions.

Kharkiv endured some of the worst destruction, with a Silpo supermarket reduced to debris and homes and vehicles extensively damaged. Fires broke out in several areas, and dozens of civilians were injured and evacuated.

According to foreign media, drones were spotted in western Ukraine by around 0320 Kyiv time, suggesting an attempt to stretch Ukraine’s air-defence coverage across a wider area.

The wider situation on the ground remains tense in other regions as well, including areas like Pokrovsk, where ongoing movements have continued to shape the frontline landscape.

Escalation of Missile Strikes From Land, Sea, and Air

As the night progressed, Russia boosted its assault. Monitoring groups verified that the bullet carriers in the Black Sea began launching Kalibr voyage dumdums at around 04:30.

By 05:00, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that these dumdums had entered Ukrainian airspace, moving from the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions towards Vinnytsia and Khmelnytskyi.

At roughly the same time, Russia stationed MiG-31 K aircraft able to fire Kinzhal hypersonic dumdums.

At 05:39, the Kyiv Military- Civil Administration blazoned that at least one Kinzhal launch had been detected, though the intended target remains unknown.

Further escalation came from Russia’s strategic aeronautics forces. Tu- 95MS bombers left the Olenya airport in the Murmansk region at around 03:30.

By 06:11, their long-range dumdums had crossed into Ukrainian airspace, with early findings above Sumy before moving over Poltava and east of Cherkasy.

Ukraine’s Air Defences on High Alert

Ukraine’s air-defence units stayed completely mobilised throughout the morning, interdicting pitfalls where possible.

Authorities advised that fresh swells of dumdums or drones could still follow and prompted residents to take shelter whenever admonitions sound.

Civilians and Infrastructure Under Mounting Pressure

With supermarkets, domestic blocks, and vehicles struck across several regions, the assault has renewed fears about the vulnerability of mercenary areas and energy infrastructure, especially as temperatures drop and electricity demand grows.

Exigency services continue to assess the damage and support affected communities.

Authorities say the situation remains fluid and fresh pitfalls can not be ruled out. Residents are encouraged to stay alert, follow sanctioned warnings, and be prepared for further dislocations as Ukraine faces yet another grueling phase of the ongoing conflict.
