Tom Grennan to Light Up York Racecourse with Explosive 2026 Performance
Get ready, York. British chart-topper Tom Grennan is saddling up for a show that’s set to shake the Knavesmire.
The singer-songwriter, known for his powerhouse vocals and down-to-earth charm, will headline Music Showcase Saturday at York Racecourse on 25 July 2026.
The announcement came live on YorkMix Radio this morning (Friday), sending fans into a frenzy as tickets officially go on sale today, Friday, 24 October, from 10am via the York Racecourse website.
Grennan is the first major act confirmed for the racecourse’s 2026 summer season, with more big names for Summer Music Saturday and Music Showcase Friday still under wraps.
James Brennan, head of marketing and sponsorship at York Racecourse, shared his excitement: “It’s great news that Tom Grennan is joining the artists to have performed on the Knavesmire, a performer who has gone from strength to strength. And rightly so. The Bedford-born star has carved out a remarkable career in just a few short years, boasting two UK Number One albums and an impressive list of hit singles, including ‘This Is the Place’, ‘By Your Side’ with Calvin Harris, ‘Remind Me’, ‘All These Nights’, ‘Here’, and ‘How Does It Feel’.
It’s no secret that Grennan’s live shows pack a punch, raw energy, infectious charisma, and a voice that fills every corner of the crowd. Fans heading to York can expect nothing less than a night to remember.
The excitement doesn’t end with the music. The day’s racing card will feature seven top-tier thoroughbred contests, offering a combined prize pot of £380,000.
The highlight? The Sky Bet York Stakes, a prestigious Group Two race that never fails to deliver drama on the turf.
But there’s more on the horizon. York’s summer season promises a vibrant mix of sport and sound, from Summer Music Saturday (27 June) to the John Smith’s Cup Meeting (10–11 July), culminating in the Music Showcase Weekend at the end of July.
With a price freeze on adult general admission, groups of six can still enjoy the Grandstand and Paddock enclosure for just £40 per person, not bad for a day of racing, rhythm, and revelry.
York Racecourse has long been a summer staple for both racing purists and music lovers. Now, with Tom Grennan headlining 2026, the anticipation is already galloping ahead.
