Manchester United Confirm £73.7m Signing of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig
Manchester United have officially secured the signing of Slovenian striker Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig in a deal reportedly worth £73.7 million.
The 22-year-old forward had attracted interest from several Premier League clubs this summer. Arsenal initially included Šeško on their shortlist but later shifted their focus to Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyökeres. Meanwhile, Newcastle United made two bids for Šeško, with the Bundesliga club accepting the second.
However, it was United who ultimately secured the player, choosing to bide their time and ensure Sesko’s preference was to join Old Trafford before submitting their official offer.
The agreed fee involves £66.3 million upfront, with the remaining sum to be paid through performance-based add-ons.

Since his transfer to Leipzig from RB Salzburg, Šeško has been among Europe’s most prolific young forwards. He tops the charts for goals scored by players under 23 in the continent’s top five leagues, netting 39 times in 87 Bundesliga appearances.
