Hollywood Star Hugh Jackman Set to Headline BST Hyde Park 2025
Hollywood icon Hugh Jackman has been confirmed as a surprise headliner for next summer’s BST Hyde Park festival.
Known globally for his blockbuster film roles, Jackman will swap the silver screen for the stage, performing a collection of highlights from his celebrated musical theatre career.
The announcement follows the reveal of Jeff Lynne’s ELO as the festival’s first headliner, marking what is expected to be their final UK performance. Country sensation Zach Bryan has also been confirmed as another headline act.
While suckers may incontinently associate Jackman with Wolverine and other cinematic icons, his roots lie forcefully in musical theatre.
He first rose to elevation in Australia as Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, before earning critical acclaim with a Tony Award-winning part in Broadway’s The Boy from Oz and an Olivier-nominated performance in the West End’s Oklahoma!.
Jackman’s singing talents have also been showcased on the big screen, especially in Les Misérables( 2012) and The Greatest Showman (2017).
In 2021, he returned to Broadway with a reanimation of The Music Man, which became a major box office megahit.
This forthcoming UK appearance follows his recent advertisement of Hugh Jackman Live From New York With Love, a series of musicals at Radio City Music Hall in the US listed for 2025. suckers can now anticipate him to bring the same energy and seductiveness to London.
Jackman has constantly expressed his fondness for the UK, especially London, and has been involved in charitable events supporting the NHS.
In July, he teamed up with fellow actor Ryan Reynolds to encourage blood donations in a crusade ahead of their superhero film, Deadpool & Wolverine.
“Our characters have spilled countless hot tubs’ worth of blood in the name of entertainment, but don’t worry, it’s all fake, mostly,” Reynolds joked in the video.
Jackman added, “Real blood is harder to come by; that’s why the NHS needs heroes like you to donate blood.
“Just one hour of your time could save up to three lives.”
The clip concludes with Reynolds asking, “Will you be a giver to a receiver in need?” Both stars apologize for Reynolds’ tongue-in-cheek comment, keeping the message light but impactful.
Tickets for BST Hyde Park 2025 go on general sale at 10 am on 6 November via the official BST website.
With Jackman now joining a stellar lineup, the festival promises to be a must-see event for music and theatre fans alike.
