Milwaukee’s megastar Giannis Antetokounmpo lit up the court once again, delivering a stunning 41 points, 15 rebounds, and nine assists as the Milwaukee Bucks powered past the Chicago Bulls 126- 110 to open their NBA Cup title defence in style.
The Bucks maintained their perfect record in Cup group play, now sitting at 9- 0 since the event’s launch three years ago, an achievement that speaks volumes about their depth and dominance.
Giannis Takes Charge
It was a night of pure control for the Bucks’ leader. Despite shooting 16-for-32, slightly below his season norm, Antetokounmpo took charge in the fourth quarter, dropping 19 points and putting the game beyond Chicago’s reach.

Milwaukee’s Cup trip has seen highs and lows, a semi-final exit to Indiana two times ago, followed by a commanding 97- 81 win over Oklahoma City to lift the jewel last time. This performance showed that they’re not easing off anytime soon.
In a league weekend already affected by player health, including Steph Curry’s absence from the Nuggets clash after falling ill, Antetokounmpo’s endurance and leadership stood out all the more.
Bucks’ Support Cast Delivers
While Giannis stole the limelight, Myles Turner and Ryan Rollins made sure the Bulls had further than one problem to deal with. Turner tallied 23 points, his stylish spin since joining the Bucks, while Rollins added 20, giving Milwaukee precious depth.

For the Bulls, Matas Buzelis contributed 20 points and eight rebounds, and Josh Giddey continued his fine form with 16 points, 14 assists, and seven rebounds.
Giddey came near to a third successive triadic-double, a feat no Bulls player has managed since Michael Jordan in 1989.
Bucks Maintain Momentum
An 8-0 A run in the third quarter sealed Chicago’s fate. Antetokounmpo sparked the burst with a three-pointer, bringing him to 7-for-13 from deep this season, followed by a monster immerse off a Rollins help.
Turner also drove to the handbasket, finishing through contact for a three-point play that burned the crowd.
Milwaukee did it all without Taurean Prince, sidelined with a neck strain. On the Bulls’ side, Ayo Dosunmu returned after missing two games, adding seven points in 20 minutes.
Next up, the Bucks face the Houston Rockets, while the Golden State Warriors head to Cleveland for their clash on Saturday night.
With Giannis Antetokounmpo in this kind of unstoppable form, the Bucks’ NBA Cup crown looks far from slipping away.
