China is facing a sharp rise in flu cases as hospitals report being stretched to their limits. Social media images show busy staying apartments across the country, putting pressure on the healthcare system.

The H3N2 contagion, responsible for a growing number of infections in the UK as well, is attributed to regard for roughly 95 of cases in China, with 17 businesses reporting particularly high flu rates.

Dr Wang Dayan, director of the Chinese National Influenza Centre, has said the flu season in China is anticipated to peak between early and mid-December.

He advised that it might take several weeks before the situation eases, prompting that “prevention and control measures should remain in place over the next six to eight weeks.”

Nearly 2,000 cases were hospitalised with the contagion last week alone, with case figures climbing sprucely in recent days.

Professor Julian Redhead, NHS public medical director for critical and emergency care, described flu situations as “incredibly high” and expressed serious concern over the pressure this could place on hospitals during the busy downtime period.

With Christmas approaching, health officers are prompting eligible individuals to get their flu shots as soon as possible to ensure maximum immunity.

The rising H3N2 Virus cases accentuate the significance of timely vaccination and visionary health measures, both in China and the UK, as countries navigate this particularly gruelling flu season.
