A British wellness couple’s airport farewell has taken on tragic significance after their Air India flight crashed shortly after take-off. The pair, known for their spiritual wellness enterprise in London, had just recorded a cheerful video expressing gratitude for India before boarding the ill-fated plane.
Jamie Ray Greenlaw‑Meek and Fiongal Greenlaw‑Meek, identified among 53 British nationals on the aircraft with 242 passengers, documented their “magical experience” in India via their Wellness Foundry Instagram feed. In one clip, Fiongal, a former fashion designer, remarked: “We are at the airport, just boarding, goodbye India”.
Jamie added light relief, joking about the long 10‑hour journey ahead.
Later, they reflected on their trip: “We really have been on quite a journey… we’ve just had the most delicious Thali food. It was the perfect way to round up the trip.”
The couple, London‑based directors of their own spiritual wellness brand, were returning from a ten‑day retreat. Jamie’s brother, Nick, shared their grief: “We were expecting him home tonight. He should have landed at 6.30pm… She is not in a good way. It is all very raw.”
Online footage purportedly shows the aircraft over a residential area, exploding into a fireball and sending up thick black smoke moments later.
The Wellness Foundry, based in Vauxhall, London, offers services such as psychic, tarot and aura readings and has worked with high‑profile brands including Netflix, Google and Dior.
Fiongal launched the business in 2018 after a spiritual awakening triggered by illness, and Jamie joined in 2023 as co‑director and events head. He also leads life coaching and psychic sessions.
In January, the couple appeared on ITV’s This Morning where Fiongal spoke about auras, performing a jovial reading alongside hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard. Describing it as their “biggest gig so far”, the couple admitted they were “very nerve‑wracking” but honoured by the opportunity.
They’ve also featured on the Newly Weds podcast, reading tarot for Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo. Time Out listed their venue among London’s best for tarot readings, and they’ve attracted coverage from The Times and Daily Mail.
Married in 2022, the couple marked their union twice – with a vivid countryside ceremony in the UK and a celebration in Las Vegas, both shared via Instagram.
