Three teenagers have been charged with attempted murder following a shocking knife attack that left a 15-year-old boy seriously injured in a Sunderland park.

Emergency services were called to Margaret Terrace, near Herrington Country Park, around 6:10pm on Friday after reports of an injured teenager. Officers arrived alongside ambulance crews and found the boy with serious wounds consistent with a bladed weapon attack.
