BBC’s important- favored rigorously Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has announced she’ll be stepping down from the dancefloor, formerly more critical surgery.
The Welsh professional cotillion revealed she’ll undergo an alternative mastectomy this week, sharing the news in an emotional Instagram video.
Amy, who bravely went public with her bone cancer opinion in May 2023, said she wanted to be outspoken with her followers from the launch.
“Hey everyone, as you all know, I’ve always been very open about my health and the care I receive. So I’d like to start by being clear that what I am about to share is not to treat a new cancer diagnosis.
Still, following a recent appointment with my inconceivable medical platoon, we’ve decided that I’ll be having another mastectomy this week, ” she explained.
A Journey of Courage and Hope
Amy’s news has sparked an outpour of love and support from suckers and her fellow rigorously professionals. Despite the reversal, she remains auspicious and concentrated on recovery.
“They’re confident that, all going well, I can expect a straightforward recovery. Once I have healed, I look forward to rejoining my Strictly family.
Of course, I’m going to miss not being there so much, but I will be watching from home and look forward to cheering everyone on. Thank you always for all the support. Welsh love Amy xxx,” she added.
Before this time, Amy returned to Strictly Come Dancing alongside businessman Thomas Skinner.
Their time in the competition was short-lived after being the first couple excluded, yet Amy continued to play a vital part confidentially, cheering from the Clauditorium and offering support whenever demanded.
