Aldi has announced it will give away £100 supermarket vouchers every week for the next year to UK parents through its Aldi Mamia New Parent Fund, a scheme designed to ease the financial pressure of raising a baby.

The offer is available nationwide, runs until January 2027, and will see one family selected each week to receive support at a time when household costs remain high.

The initiative targets new and expecting parents, a group that has been hit particularly hard by rising prices for everyday essentials such as nappies, wipes, and baby food.

What is the Aldi Mamia New Parent Fund, and why is Aldi running it?

The Aldi Mamia New Parent Fund is a financial support scheme that gives one UK family a £100 Aldi voucher every week, adding up to £5,200 over 12 months.

Families can spend the voucher in any Aldi store across the UK on groceries or baby essentials, including Aldi’s own Mamia baby range.

Aldi says it introduced the scheme after recognising how quickly baby-related costs can build up in the first year of parenthood.

Many parents underestimate the long-term expense of nappies alone, which are needed daily and bought repeatedly.

Who can apply, and how does the weekly draw work?

The fund is open to UK residents aged 18 or over who are new or expecting parents. To enter, applicants must have purchased at least one product from Aldi’s Mamia range and provide proof of purchase.

Parents enter by emailing [email protected] with a photo of a recent Mamia receipt, the purchase date, and their contact details.

Aldi then runs a weekly random draw, selecting one winner from valid entries received in the previous week. This process repeats every week until January 2027.

How much do UK parents really spend on baby essentials?

Aldi points to research showing that nearly one in five UK parents say the cost of nappies comes as an unexpected financial shock.

These costs often peak during the first year, when babies require frequent changes both day and night.

By choosing Aldi’s Mamia products instead of branded alternatives, the supermarket estimates parents can save around £380 in their baby’s first year.

These savings apply across nappies, wipes, baby food, and toiletries, all of which are designed to meet UK safety and quality standards.

Are Aldi Mamia products trusted by parents?

Aldi maintains that its Mamia baby range offers the same level of quality as leading brands, but at a lower price. The supermarket has consistently been named the UK’s cheapest grocery retailer, a title it has held for five consecutive years.

The Mamia range has also received industry recognition, with Aldi recently named Supermarket of the Year by Mother & Baby magazine.

“We know how quickly the costs of having a baby can add up, and we want to help families stretch their budgets further,” said Julie Ashfield, Chief Commercial Officer at Aldi UK.

Why has Aldi brought the scheme back for another year?

The Mamia New Parent Fund was first launched last year and attracted a strong response from families across the UK.

Aldi says the high number of applications highlighted the continued need for practical support, especially as food prices and household bills remain elevated.

By extending the scheme into 2026 and early 2027, Aldi aims to provide ongoing help rather than a one-off gesture.
