A Kennington stabbing has claimed the life of a 21-year-old man, following a violent incident on Hillingdon Street in South East London.

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 9.15pm on Monday evening (April 14), after receiving reports of a stabbing. Officers from the Metropolitan Police and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service rushed to the location and discovered a young man suffering from stab wounds.

Despite the swift response and medical attention, the victim was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

Efforts are currently underway to trace and inform the victim’s next of kin. The Metropolitan Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “On Monday, April 14, at 9.16pm police were called to Hillingdon Street, Camberwell, following reports of a stabbing.

“Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service who treated a 21-year-old man for stab injuries. Sadly, despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead on scene. Enquiries are on-going and we are working to locate his next of kin.

“If you saw anything, or have any information then please contact police via 101 stating CAD7392/14APR. Alternatively, to remain anonymous you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
