The Boston Celtics vs Philadelphia 76ers discord on Tuesday night ended in heartache for Boston, as the Celtics lost 102- 100 in a dramatic finish at the Wells Fargo Center.

The defeat marked Boston’s seventh of the season and gave the Sixers a 2-1 edge in their series.

Celtics vs 76ers Game Recap

With just seconds to go, the Celtics trailed by two and had one final chance to level the score. Derrick White compactly lost control before trying a long-range heave that fell suddenly.

The answer dropped straight to Neemias Queta, who had a clear look under the hem, but his point-blank layup bounced off as the buzzer sounded.

A clip shared by ClutchPoints on X captured the stunning moment, with many suggesting Queta may have thought time had expired due to the deafening noise inside the arena.

The miss sealed the Sixers’ win, improving their record to 7-4, while the Celtics slipped to 5-7.

Celtics Fight Back After Slow Start

The Celtics vs 76ers encounter was truly a game of two halves. Boston’s offense drove beforehand, managing just 41 first points while shooting 28 from the field and only 19 from three. Their defence also plodded to contain the Sixers’ meter.

But the Celtics came alive in the third quarter, outscoring Philadelphia 36- 20 to pull back into contention. Jaylen Brown led Boston with 24 points, while Derrick White added 18 points and seven assists despite a tough shooting night at 7- 20.

Anfernee Simons scored 17 points, including two pivotal 3-pointers that gave Boston the lead beforehand in the fourth quarter.

Sixers Stay Calm Under Pressure

The Philadelphia 76ers held their whim-whams late in the game. Tyrese Maxey posted 21 points and nine assists, though he plodded from the field at 5-for-17.

Novitiate Justin Edwards made the crucial difference, hitting three successive 3-pointers in just over a nanosecond to flip the score and put the Sixers ahead for good.

That stretch proved decisive as the Sixers stayed composed while the Celtics’ offence faltered under pressure.

Boston Left to Regroup

For the Boston Celtics, this loss will sting. After battling back from a poor first half and taking control late, they let the game slip down in the dying moments. Neemias Queta’s missed layup will dominate the captions, but Boston’s early firing straws were just as expensive.

The Celtics now sit at 5-7 and must direct snappily as the season continues. Trainer Joe Mazzulla will probably emphasise better prosecution and countenance in tight games moving forward.

What’s Next for Both Teams?

Boston will aim to bounce back in their forthcoming institutions and recapture dominance on both ends of the bottom. Meanwhile, the 76ers will be pleased with their adaptability and depth, which continue to shine indeed when their stars have off nights.

With Tyrese Maxey growing into a leadership role and players like Edwards stepping up, Philadelphia looks increasingly dangerous in the Eastern Conference.

The Celtics vs 76ers contest once again delivered drama, pressure, and heartache. From Boston’s spirited comeback to Queta’s agonising miss, this was NBA action at its most thrilling.

Both brigades will take assignments from the hassle, and suckers can formerly look forward to the coming chapter in this ever-violent tourney.
