AFC Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott has been handed his first elderly England call-up.
The 23- time-old has been in outstanding form for the Cherries, earning a spot in the Three Lions’ team for the final World Cup Qualifiers against Serbia and Albania.
Scott could face off against familiar faces. Bournemouth teammates Djordje Petrovic and Veljko Milosavljevic have been named in Serbia’s team, setting the stage for a possible club-versus-country clash.
Scott’s Growth
Reflecting on Scott’s progress, Tuchel said: “He had an excellent Euros. He won the title, and Lee was full of praise.
He did an excellent job in midfield together with Elliot Anderson, who is now a regular starter for us. It was very impressive, but then he took another step and became a very regular starter now for Bournemouth, and they are in the top third of the league.
They are overperforming constantly. He puts intensity i,n and he gets his minutes, so we thought this is maybe the perfect time to reward him and to get to know him and to see what he can bring to our team.”

His addition adds a fresh option to Gareth Southgate’s midfield, which has seen several changes this season. Suckers and pundits are eager to see if Scott can restate his club form to the transnational stage.
