Motability Scheme Launches Autumn Update for PIP and Other Benefit Claimants
The Motability Scheme has unveiled its latest afterlife update, offering fresh leasing options for 815,000 guests across the United Kingdom.
The action, managed by Motability Operations, allows those entering disability benefits to use part or all of their mobility award to parcel vehicles or mobility aids.
The streamlined price list, now live on the Motability Scheme website, features nearly 900 vehicles, from standard buses to wheelchair-accessible models, scooters, and powered wheelchairs.
Eligible benefits include Personal Independence Payment( PIP), Disability Living Allowance( DLA), War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement( WPMS), and Armed Forces Independence Payment( AFIP).
A full guide detailing qualifying benefits and award levels is available on the Motability website.
Leasing through the scheme is more than just a new vehicle. Guests receive a complete package, including insurance, breakdown cover, servicing, conservation, tyres, and windscreen repairs.
It’s worth noting that some vehicles may bear an outspoken payment, ranging from£ 100 to£ 2,000, depending on the model and accustomations demanded.
Lisa Thomas, chief customer officer at Motability Operations: “The Motability Scheme provides disabled people with freedom and independence, supporting them with accessing work, education, healthcare, and keeping them connected to society.”
She added: “Across the UK, drivers are feeling the pressure of rising costs, from inflation and insurance to servicing and maintenance. We are continuing to work closely with our partners and manufacturers to deliver great value and choice.”
