Super Furry Animals Roar Back with 2026 UK Tour and Anniversary Surprise
The delay is over. After nearly a decade down from the live stage, Super Furry Animals are officially back, bringing their fabulous blend of psychedelia, indie gemstone, and odd charm to cults across the UK and Ireland in 2026.
The Welsh cult icons, Huw Bunford, Cian Ciarán, Daf Ieuan, Guto Pryce, and Gruff Rhys, have verified a full-scale reunion under the banner of the Supercabra 2026 Tour, a name inspired by a mysterious beast first suggested in their 1997 reader Radiator.
The band, celebrated for classics like Something 4 The Weekend, Hello Sunshine, Northern Lights, and the defiant Man Don’t Give a F**k!, will kick off their run in Dublin on 6 May before hitting Glasgow, Llandudno, Cardiff, Manchester, and London.
Welsh fans will get an extra dose of nostalgia, with two major homecoming shows scheduled at Llandudno’s Venue Cymru on Thursday 14 May and Cardiff’s Utilita Arena on Saturday 16 May.
Tickets go on general sale Friday, 3 October at 10am via Ticketmaster, with details also available on www.superfurry.com.
Hints of the reunion began over the weekend, when the band posted cryptic videos of the Supercabra logo flashing across a windswept Welsh beach and posters popping up around Cardiff city centre. Fans were urged to sign up for exclusive updates, fuelling speculation before the official announcement.

The logo itself nods to a mythical cousin of the chupacabra, a goat-sucking creature of Latin American folklore – reimagined in true Super Furry style.
To sweeten the deal, the group is celebrating the 20th anniversary of their beloved album Love Kraft with a deluxe reissue.
The special edition will feature previously unheard material, including the unreleased track Rock ‘N’ Roll Flu, which premieres on BBC 6 Music with Huw Stephens this Thursday, 2 October 2025, at 5pm.
The album drops 24 October 2025, just in time to warm fans up for ticket day.
Though silent as a unit since 2016, the band members have kept the creative sparks alive.
Gruff Rhys recently toured his ninth solo album, Dim Probs, while Daf, Guto, Cian, and Huw explored experimental electronics as part of Das Koolies.
