NS&I Premium Bonds Winners Revealed – Are You a September Millionaire?
NS&I has unveiled the winners of September’s Premium Bonds prize draw, and two lucky savers have hit the £1 million jackpot.
The winners hail from County Durham and Cumbria.
The County Durham victor held £50,000 in Premium Bonds before winning with bond number 224BZ748917, marking the county’s fifth jackpot triumph. The bond was purchased back in June 2014.
Meanwhile, the Cumbria winner, holding a similar £50,000 in bonds, struck gold with bond number 243VC581367, becoming the 12th Premium Bonds millionaire from the region. This bond was purchased in April 2015.
Both winners were contacted by NS&I’s mysterious Agent Million, an anonymous employee who personally delivers the exciting news to jackpot recipients across the UK.
But the spotlight wasn’t only on the millionaires. September’s draw distributed over £397 million in prizes, with 6,026,999 winners in total. High-value prizes ranging from £5,000 to £1 million were claimed by 2,797 savers.
A notable story comes from Essex, where a saver with just £350 in Premium Bonds won £100,000 from a bond purchased in December 2024. Similarly, Birmingham saw a £100,000 winner who bought their bond as recently as July 2025 – the latest eligible month.
Andrew Westhead, NS&I’s Retail Director, said: *”Congratulations to our two new jackpot winners from County Durham and Cumbria who’ve each won £1 million in September’s draw.
Along with more than six million other prizes we’re awarding this month, it’s been another fantastic month for Premium Bonds holders.
“We’d also like to remind all Bond holders to keep their contact details up-to-date with us to ensure they don’t miss out on being notified of prizes.”*
Currently, 2,629,312 Premium Bonds prizes worth £106,604,800 remain unclaimed, waiting for their lucky owners.
