Rebecca Loos Criticises Celebrity SAS for Focusing Too Much on David Beckham Affair
Rebecca Loos has hit out at Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, claiming the Channel 4 show asked “too many questions” about her past relationship with David Beckham.
The Dutch media personality, 48, rose to fame after revealing her alleged affair with the footballer while working as his personal assistant in 2004.
Loos appeared on ITV’s Lorraine today to reflect on her experience in the gruelling reality series. She admitted that she felt the show dwelled excessively on her Beckham scandal rather than her personal challenges and resilience.
Speaking to host Ranvir Singh, she said: “I would have preferred to have spoken much more about the bravery in going public, in dealing with the British media, in going up against powerful PR machines and people with money and power.
That for me was the most challenging time in my life by far so I did feel like there were too many questions about David Beckham.”
Singh probed further, asking why she chose to take part in the show despite knowing the affair would come up. Rebecca responded candidly: “Just to be clear, I don’t mind being asked about it. It is part of my journey.
It’s just that there was slightly too much focus on that. I felt I had so much more to share, dark times that I’ve been through.”
Despite the intense questioning, Loos praised the show and her fellow contestants. She described her experience as both exhausting and exhilarating.
“It’s one of the best things I’ve ever done, one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I have so much respect for the DS, so much respect for the contestants that are still pushing through. I’m just in awe of their strength. It’s been incredible.”
Loos’ comments shed light on the pressures participants face on Celebrity SAS, highlighting the balance between personal history and the physical and mental challenges of the show.
Rebecca Loos’ appearance comes as the 2025 season of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins continues to draw strong viewership, with fans keen to see both the physical endurance and personal stories of its contestants.
