Weather Update: Rain, Clouds, and Sunshine in Store for Bridgwater This Week

Bridgwater is in for a varied week of weather, according to the latest forecast from the Met Office.

Starting off with a damp note, Tuesday, 29 July, will begin with light rain before things turn overcast later in the morning. Temperatures will hover between a mild 16°C and a warm 23°C.

Moving into Wednesday, 30 July, the skies brighten slightly. Expect sunny intervals early on, though they’ll give way to patchy clouds by nightfall. The mercury sticks around the same, with highs of 23°C and lows of 16°C.

Thursday, 31 July, offers a slow shift. It kicks off under overcast skies but promises a bit of sunshine breaking through by late morning. Daytime highs will reach 23°C, with a slightly cooler night at 14°C.

Friday, 1 August, is set to be the most pleasant of the week. Expect sunny intervals throughout the day. No rain in sight. Temperatures will dip slightly, peaking at 22°C and falling to 14°C after dark.

Saturday, 2 August, wraps up the week with more sunshine during the day. Come evening, expect a few more clouds to roll in. Daytime highs of 22°C and nighttime lows around 15°C.

Despite the mild and mixed conditions, the Met Office has issued a high UV warning for the entire week.

“Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and plan their activities accordingly.”

And it’s worth heeding. Even on cloudier days, UV rays can pack a punch.

Bridgwater locals—don’t be fooled by the cooler spells. Sun cream, hats, and plenty of hydration are still essential this week.

Interestingly, similar unsettled weather has been affecting parts of Wales, where towns like Aberystwyth are also seeing a mix of rain and showers throughout the week. That shift in conditions is outlined in this recent update on Aberystwyth’s weather, reflecting a broader regional trend.
