Friday, 1 August, is set to be the most pleasant of the week. Expect sunny intervals throughout the day. No rain in sight. Temperatures will dip slightly, peaking at 22°C and falling to 14°C after dark.
Saturday, 2 August, wraps up the week with more sunshine during the day. Come evening, expect a few more clouds to roll in. Daytime highs of 22°C and nighttime lows around 15°C.
Despite the mild and mixed conditions, the Met Office has issued a high UV warning for the entire week.
“Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and plan their activities accordingly.”
And it’s worth heeding. Even on cloudier days, UV rays can pack a punch.

Bridgwater locals—don’t be fooled by the cooler spells. Sun cream, hats, and plenty of hydration are still essential this week.
Interestingly, similar unsettled weather has been affecting parts of Wales, where towns like Aberystwyth are also seeing a mix of rain and showers throughout the week. That shift in conditions is outlined in this recent update on Aberystwyth’s weather, reflecting a broader regional trend.
