UK Rail Software Firm RTS Secures £300K+ Contract Extension
In a fresh boost to the nation’s rail tech infrastructure, UK rail software provider RTS Solutions, a subsidiary of Petards Group PLC, has landed a contract renewal worth over £300,000.
The deal, signed with an undisclosed rail industry client, will keep RTS’s systems in play until June 2026.
It’s a significant vote of confidence in homegrown innovation. The software in question powers real-time fault and incident monitoring across parts of the UK’s rail network, keeping services running and faults under control.
The contract kicks in immediately and extends RTS’s role in supplying licences, ongoing maintenance, and third-line support for the safety-critical system.
Raschid Abdullah, Chairman of Petards Group, noted, “safety-related software application which RTS has delivered to its customer for many years”, and emphasised that the deal “further adds to the Group’s order book and supports its strong core of recurring revenues for the current and following year.”
This isn’t an isolated win either. It follows another sizeable deal just last month, a £360,000 SaaS renewal with a separate client.
Listed on London’s AIM market, Petards Group continues to make inroads with its cutting-edge security, surveillance, and communications solutions. With back-to-back wins, the group appears to be tightening its grip on the UK rail tech space.
