Sam Ryder, the British singer celebrated for his Eurovision success, is set to make his West End debut in the title part of Jesus Christ Superstar.
The gemstone pieces, created by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, will play a limited 11-week season at The London precaution from Saturday 20 June to Saturday 5 September 2026.
Reuniting the creative platoon behind the Olivier Award-winning 2016 product, the reanimation promises a stunning blend of music, choreography, and design.
Tim Sheader will direct, Drew McOnie will handle choreography, and Tony and Olivier Award-winning Tom Scutt will design the product.

Jesus Christ Superstar follows the final days of Jesus Christ as told through the perspective of Judas. The gemstone-driven score features iconic figures including ‘I Don’t Know How to Love Him’, ‘Gethsemane’, and the title track ‘ Superstar’.
The product platoon is inversely emotional musical administrator Tom Deering (Standing at the Sky’s Edge), lighting developer Lee Curran (A Streetcar Named Desire), sound developer Adam Fisher (Sunset Boulevard), fight director Kate Waters (Othello), and BAFTA-winning casting director David Grindrod CDG.
