Princess Andre Opens Up on Independence from Parents Amid Katie Price Dispute
Princess Andre has spoken out about her independence from her famous parents following recent tensions with her mother, Katie Price.
The 16-year-old appeared on This Morning alongside her brother, Junior Andre, to discuss their growing careers and the reality show they star in with their father, Peter Andre.
Princess is front and centre of the new reality series, which notably does not include Katie Price.
This absence has sparked controversy after Katie revealed she felt “very, very upset” about Princess’ career being managed by her ex-husband Peter’s team. She also expressed frustration at being excluded and confirmed she has no plans to watch the show.
Discussing the programme, Princess told hosts Joel Dommett and Emma Willis: “You see me growing with confidence as it goes on. You see my family, it’s just really fun.”
When asked about her relationship with her parents, Princess was clear: she is “independent” from them. Explaining her motivation for the show, she said, “I got older and a lot more things have come in for me solo.
A lot of things I used to do was with my parents and now I’m doing a show that is independent and actually focused on me. Now is the right time because my life is busy right now and I want people to see it.”
Katie Price previously criticised the management handling Princess’ career, claiming they have prevented her from supporting or guiding her daughter. She even offered to appear on the show “for free,” but says her offer was rejected.
The situation follows Princess revealing she wished her childhood had been happier. She opened up about her emotional struggles, saying, “I did have a counsellor, I do still see her every now and then.
But I don’t feel like I can really talk, so I just write everything down in my notes. I do wish, like, I could have had a more happier childhood. In the sense of like, I had so many things on my plate at a young age.”
Princess acknowledged the challenges she faced growing up, saying, “I wish I wasn’t like that” and admitting she had many worries at a very young age. Yet, she also recalled some positive moments from her childhood and reflected on Katie Price’s split from Kieran Hayler when she was just ten.
The Andre family saga continues to attract attention, with Princess clearly carving out her own path while navigating the complexities of fame and family.
