Oleksandr Usyk Confirms No Fight With Moses Itauma, Eyes Retirement at 41, and Sports Academy
Oleksandr Usyk has ruled out a clash with Britain’s rising heavyweight star, Moses Itauma, signaling that the fight is off the table for the foreseeable future.
The undisputed heavyweight champion, speaking to Ring Magazine, shared his plans to continue boxing until he turns 41 before stepping down from the ring to concentrate on nurturing his unborn gift.
“No, I won’t fight Itauma. He’s young, always teasing me. And he said himself he doesn’t hit grandpas. I’ll fight until I’m 41. Then I’ll build a sports academy, I’ll train there and train others.”
The 38- time-old Ukrainian is formerly considered one of boxing’s ultramodern legends. Having ruled the flyweight division before moving up to heavyweight, Usyk has claimed world titles and cemented his place among the sport’s pound-for-pound nobility.
His indefectible professional record only adds weight to his heritage.

Usyk’s focus now is to clear and finish his career on his own terms, also shift his attention to coaching and developing youthful athletes through his planned sports academy.
On the other side of the ring, 20-year-old Moses Itauma is rising as one of Britain’s brightest boxing prospects.
The WBO Inter-Continental heavyweight champion boasts a 13 – 0 record and has impressed with his speed, countenance, and knockout power.
Despite the enterprise about an implicit showdown with Usyk, Itauma has raised admiration for the champion and seems keen to learn rather than disaccord at this stage.
Though a fight between the two may noway materialize, the discrepancy is striking. Usyk represents the zenith of boxing achievement, while Itauma embodies the pledge of the coming generation.
Two ages of the sport, connected by respect, ambition, and the pursuit of greatness.
