One fortunate UK ticket-holder has struck gold in Wednesday night’s National Lottery draw, scooping the eye-watering £8.4 million triple rollover jackpot.
The jackpot had swelled after no player matched all six main numbers in recent draws. But that all changed last night, when one lucky participant matched the complete winning line.
Lotto Jackpot Winner Bags £8.4 Million
The winning numbers drawn for Lotto on Wednesday, July 2, were: 4, 11, 34, 51, 54, 55, with the Bonus Ball: 57.
The life-changing sum of £8,434,748 is now awaiting the holder of the winning ticket. Officials are urging players to check their entries and make contact to claim the massive prize.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery operator Allwyn, said: “What wonderful news for a lucky Lotto player, as one ticket-holder has won tonight’s £8.4 million jackpot. What an incredible way to start the month!”
He added: “If that wasn’t enough, there will also be a life-changing £15 million ‘Must Be Won’ jackpot up for grabs this Saturday, alongside the chance to win one of 15 luxury holidays to Italy for up to 10 people for anyone who buys two or more lines online.”
Thunderball Results: £500,000 Top Prize Unclaimed
In the Thunderball draw, the winning numbers were: 6, 9, 12, 20, 35 and the Thunderball: 14.
No tickets matched the full set of five numbers plus the Thunderball, meaning the £500,000 top prize remains unclaimed. However, one lucky ticket-holder did match all five main numbers, earning a tidy sum of £5,000.
