Liverpool Unveils Eye-Catching 90s-Inspired Third Kit for 2025/26

Liverpool FC has eventually pulled back the curtain on their new third tackle for the 2025/26 season, and it’s turning heads.

While other clubs revealed their alternative strips earlier this summer, the Reds waited until the new campaign was underway before dropping their bold new look. And it’s one that fans didn’t see coming.

The new tackle is a fogy, inspired by the distinctive styles of the 1990s. But it’s not just nostalgia, it’s an emulsion of heritage and performance. The name point? A striking ocean-green shade that incontinently grabs attention.

The reaction on social media has been electric. Sympathisers are loving the antique vibes, especially with the return of classic rudiments like the adidas totem and the quaint Liverpool emblem.

“Liverpool FC and adidas have revealed the Reds’ new third kit for the 2025-26 season, a bold design that blends heritage with modern performance, to honour one of the most iconic eras in the club’s history.

The new jersey boasts a striking sea-green colourway inspired by classic LFC and adidas designs from the 1990s and early 2000s.

It also features the return of the adidas Originals Trefoil to an LFC kit for the first time in almost 35 years and is available in three different versions: short-sleeve, long-sleeve, as well as a newly created cropped version.

On the reverse of the jersey, the ’97 emblem encased by the eternal flames sits proudly at the nape of the neck.

Pristine white shorts feature sea-green detailing and sea-green socks. Adding to the heritage feel, the kit also brings back the classic LFC crest from 1987 to 1992, uniting memories of the past with a modern look for today’s teams.”

The statement impeccably captures the club’s intention to recognise their history while furnishing players with slice-edge gear.

Reports suggest that director Arne Slot’s platoon may wear the tackle for the first time in their forthcoming Premier League clash.

Liverpool is set to face Burnley at Turf Moor on Matchday 4, listed for Saturday, 14 September at 1500 CET.

With its bold colours and antique accentuations, this Liverpool third tackle is formerly making swells and setting the tone for what promises to be an instigative season. The ocean-green shade isn’t just eye delicacy.

It’s a deliberate fogy to a period that numerous suckers flash back fondly. The reanimation of the Trefoil totem and classic crest further strengthens the emotional connection between once and present.

Adidas and Liverpool FC are tapping into nostalgia, but without compromising on performance-driven design.

For collectors, sympathisers, and fashion-forward suckers likewise, this tackle is a must-watch. It’s classic. It’s fresh. It’s Liverpool, reimagined.
