Authorities in Laurel County are urgently seeking the public’s assistance in locating a young woman who has been missing since Friday afternoon.
Hannah N. Smith, 24, was last spotted at approximately 4 p.m. on 19 July in the vicinity of Kentucky Route 30, around 10 miles northeast of London.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Smith might be accompanied by a man named Austin Brown. Brown is believed to be travelling in a black Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.
Descriptions Released by Officials
Smith is described as:
- A white female
- Around 5 feet 5 inches tall
- Weighing approximately 200 pounds
- Brown eyes and long brown hair that falls past her shoulders
- A tattoo featuring a Nightmare Before Christmas character on her right arm
At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing black leggings, a grey short-sleeve shirt, and white slide-on sandals.
Public Urged to Come Forward
Authorities are asking anyone who may have seen Hannah Smith or has information on her whereabouts to come forward without delay.
“Anyone with information about Smith’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office at (606) 864-6600, the county’s 911 dispatch centre at (606) 878-7000, or send a message to the sheriff’s office Facebook page.”
The search effort is being led by Deputy Daniel Reed, working in coordination with Laurel County Emergency Management.
