La Voix Joins Strictly Come Dancing 2025 Line-Up
The glitterball has a new contender. Multi-talented performer La Voix has been confirmed as the seventh celebrity set to take the Strictly Come Dancing floor this year, with the new series launching on BBC One and BBC iPlayer this September.
The drag superstar, known for her powerhouse vocals, razor-sharp wit, and larger-than-life stage presence, is swapping sequins for… well, more sequins, but this time paired with a foxtrot, cha-cha or two.
“I’ve performed for royalty, RuPaul and Simon Cowell, but nothing fills me with more excitement (and quite a bit of terror) than the thought of dancing in front of millions on live Saturday night TV.
Strictly is a national institution and I can’t wait to get started. All that’s left to say is: good luck to my partner! Here’s hoping they can help me go from La Voix into La Danse,” said La Voix.
Viewers will remember La Voix from the 2024 series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, where she became an instant fan favourite. With four RuPeter Badges to her name and a place in the Grand Finale, she claimed the runner-up spot – cementing her reputation as one of Britain’s most beloved drag entertainers.
Her career is a tapestry of bold performances. She has dazzled on ITV’s Queens For The Night, belted powerhouse numbers on Paramount’s Queen Of The Universe, and impressed the judges on Britain’s Got Talent, where Alesha Dixon famously called her “a force to be reckoned with.”
La Voix even made a cameo in Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie and has hosted her own show, La Voix Meets, interviewing icons such as Dawn French, Joanna Lumley, and Vanessa Feltz.
And let’s not forget – she’s performed for the British Royal Family at their exclusive New Year’s Eve ball. Twice.
This year’s Strictly promises an electric mix of celebrity contestants, professional dancers, and dazzling live performances.
The announcement of La Voix was made on The Scott Mills Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 on Wednesday, 13 August. The rest of the celebrity line-up will be revealed in the coming weeks.
For La Voix, it’s more than just dancing – it’s an opportunity for audiences to see beyond the glitz. Chris Dennis, the man behind the persona, is ready to show fans another side of himself while still delivering the unforgettable La Voix flair.
Produced by BBC Studios Entertainment and commissioned by the BBC, Strictly Come Dancing continues to be one of Britain’s most beloved TV spectacles. With its mix of glamour, live music, and jaw-dropping routines, the 2025 season is already shaping up to be unmissable.
Strictly Come Dancing returns this September on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
