A shocking stabbing spree aboard an LNER train has left one rail staff member fighting for their life, as detectives confirm a 32-year-old man is now the sole suspect.
A dramatic evening unfolded at Huntingdon railway station after a violent attack broke out on board a northbound train.
The British Transport Police (BTP) have since arrested a 32-year-old man from Peterborough, who is now being treated as the only person suspected of carrying out the stabbings. He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody.
A second man, aged 35, from London, who was initially arrested at the scene, has now been released without charge. Authorities confirmed that the attack is not being treated as a terror-related incident.

In total, six people were injured during the shocking event, which unfolded shortly after the train left Peterborough station on its way to Huntingdon.

Chaos Unfolded in Seconds as Passengers Fled
Emergency services, including armed officers, responded rapidly to distress calls. Cambridgeshire Constabulary confirmed they were first alerted at 7.39pm.
