The buzz around Yorgos Lanthimos’ latest film, Bugonia, isn’t just about its storyline. The Los Angeles premiere has taken a bold, unconventional turn, attendees are asked to arrive bald or be ready to shave their heads, mirroring Emma Stone’s enterprising part in the movie.

In this film, Stone plays a high-powered CEO who finds herself in a surreal dilemma involving hijacking and allegations of being an alien. The narrative promises Lanthimos’ signature mix of dark humor and absurdity.
Alongside Stone, the film stars Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone, creating a dynamic and intriguing ensemble cast.
Earlier this year, Stone opened up about shaving her head for the role. In an interview with Vogue, she said, “like no better feeling in the world.”
She added that the experience was emotional, reflecting on her mother, Krista Stone, who had previously shaved her head during breast cancer treatment.
