Ed Sheeran has set off a storm of anticipation after announcing two surprise UK arena dates in December, the sole British dates on his forthcoming European tour.
Ed Sheeran reveals dates for UK Tour
The international bestselling singer-songwriter will appear at Coventry Building Society Arena on 5 December and Manchester’s new Co-op Live on 7 December.
These shows come before his eagerly awaited Loop Stadium Tour, which will launch in Australia in January 2026.
This limited UK appearance comes as part of a short arena run to support his forthcoming album Play, which drops on 12 September.
“Coming to play some shows in Europe, these shows will be more intimate than a stadium show obvz, but still will be incredible. I love playing these venues so much,” Sheeran shared with fans via social media.
Ed Sheeran’s decision to keep the UK leg of his tour brief has only heightened demand. With just two dates, fans are expected to rush for tickets once they go on general sale from 11 September.
The return to indoor arenas signals a nostalgic throwback to Sheeran’s earlier days – smaller venues, tighter crowds, and a more intimate vibe.

More than Just a Gig for Coventry
Paul Michael, managing director of the CBS Arena, couldn’t hide his enthusiasm about Sheeran’s return to Coventry.
“Our indoor arena has welcomed some huge names throughout the last 20 years, but they simply don’t come any bigger than Ed Sheeran. Coventry’s on the rise, the venue’s on the rise, and this really puts us on the map for bringing international artists into the indoor arena,” he said.
The city has a special connection with the star. Back in January, Sheeran made headlines when he made a surprise visit to a local school, winning the hearts of students and staff alike.
European Leg Also Confirmed
The December tour will also feature Sheeran performing in Paris, Munich, and Dublin, with fans throughout Europe counting down the minutes until his debut live performance.
These intimate shows provide a unique chance to see Sheeran perform live before he shifts into playing sold-out stadiums all over the globe.
Why This Tour Is Worth Watching
