Deliveroo’s £25 Family Deal Set to Shake Up Weeknight Dinners

Deliveroo is launching an affordable family meal deal across over 30 towns and cities in the UK, aimed at making midweek dining more convenient, budget-friendly and enjoyable.

The initiative, named Family Dinneroo, will provide meals for up to four people at £25 or less, with a per-head cost dropping below £7. It’s a bold move that could change the way families think about weekday takeaways.

Deliveroo has joined forces with more than 30 popular restaurant brands to bring this idea to life. Participating names include Pizza Express, Wagamama, Bill’s, and Dishoom, all offering specially tailored meal bundles perfect for sharing.

“Restaurant delivery has been traditionally perceived as an indulgent treat, reserved for a Friday night or weekend.

Many of our restaurant partners believe this is not the case and that delivery can play a greater role during the week. Family Dinneroo offers a way for restaurants to unlock new meal occasions and new customer demand during off-peak hours,” said Carlo Mocci, Chief Business Officer at Deliveroo.

Available Monday to Thursday, here’s when and where

This new offer is set to be rolled out in 30 key UK locations spanning England, Scotland, and Wales, with service hours between 4.30 pm and 6.30 pm, Monday through Thursday. It’s also set to launch in Dublin next month.

Families can even pre-schedule their meals up to five days in advance, making weeknight planning a breeze. The goal? Boost restaurant activity midweek, when order numbers typically dip.

Midweek just got better. Get delicious, shareable meals without breaking the bank.

The launch lands at a crucial time. According to the British Retail Consortium (BRC)-NIQ Shop Price Monitor, food inflation surged to 4.2% in August, the highest since February 2024. That figure is up from 4% the previous month.

In response to rising costs, over 60 retail executives, including leaders from Tesco and Sainsbury’s, recently addressed Rachel Reeves in a formal letter, warning that looming tax hikes in the autumn budget could stall efforts to improve UK living standards. Their forecast? Food and drink inflation could hit 6% by year-end.

With household budgets already under pressure, Deliveroo’s midweek meal deal couldn’t come at a more relevant moment.

“We are incredibly excited to launch Family Dinneroo, and the opportunity to delight families across the country while enjoying meals together at home with fun, convenient, delicious and shareable options to suit busy mid-week schedules,” said Tom James, Managing Director at Bill’s.

Here’s where you can order Family Dinneroo:

  • England: Bath, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Brighton, Bristol, Cambridge, Camberley, Canterbury, Chelmsford, Cheltenham, Colchester, Coventry, Crawley, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Norwich, Nottingham, Oxford, Portsmouth, Reading, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Sheffield, Southampton, York
  • Scotland: Edinburgh, Glasgow
  • Wales: Cardiff
  • Republic of Ireland: Dublin (launching next month)

With trusted restaurant names and an unbeatable price, Deliveroo‘s Family Dinneroo could soon be a go-to solution for stretched parents, tired cooks, and anyone seeking comfort food without hassle.

It’s a timely, smart pivot into weekday convenience and a sign that takeaway culture is evolving to suit the modern family.
