Beal’s Rough ReturnGame Breakdown

Jalen Green made his Phoenix Suns debut one to flash back, lighting up the court with a blistering 29-point performance that powered his new platoon to a 115 – 102 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night.

It was a night that screamed a statement. The 22- time-old guard, stepping onto the hardwood for the first time in a Suns jersey, looked fully at home.

Green poured in six 3-pointers, breaking the record for most made threes in a debut.

He finished the night shooting 10-for-20 from the field and 6 – 13 from beyond the arc, adding three rebounds, three assists, and two steals for good measure.

In just 23 twinkles, Green was a stunning plus-30, the kind of stat that speaks volumes.

Green’s appearance in Phoenix has generated serious buzz, and Thursday’s performance showed exactly why. The Suns, now sitting at 4 – 5 for the season, set up their spark in the youthful star’s electric play.

While Green dominated, the platoon’s trouble was also emotional. Devin Booker turned in a classic each, around display with 24 points, seven assists, and six rebounds.

Grayson Allen added 18, while Royce O’Neale caught fire in the alternate half, scoring all 17 of his points after the break. Mark Williams was solid outside, posting a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double.

Off the bench, Ryan Dunn brought energy and faculty, scoring 10 points and grabbing five boards, including a jaw-dropping one-handed alley-oop that brought suckers to their bases.

Beal’s Rough Return

It was a different story for Bradley Beal, who returned to Phoenix for the first time since being waived over the summer. He endured a tough night, managing just five points on 2-of-14 shooting.

For the Clippers, the absence of stars James Harden (personal reasons) and Kawhi Leonard (ankle) proved costly. Still, Ivica Zubac battled bravely, leading Los Angeles with 23 points and 11 rebounds.

Game Breakdown

First Quarter:

Green’s first points as a Sun came in style, a smooth finger roll over Zubac, followed by a step-back three that had fans roaring. Booker took over from there, pouring in 11 points as Phoenix led 31–27 after one.

Second Quarter:

The Suns stumbled early, struggling to find rhythm. The Clippers capitalised, building a brief seven-point lead before Green returned to stabilise the offence. His timely buckets helped trim the deficit to 51–48 by halftime.

Third Quarter:

Then came the eruption. Green and O’Neale spearheaded a 31–8 run, turning a tight contest into a blowout.

The Suns couldn’t miss, opening the half with eight straight makes, including five from deep. By the end of the third, Phoenix led comfortably, 88–74.

Fourth Quarter:

Dunn’s spectacular alley-oop from Collin Gillespie became the exclamation point of the night. The Suns’ bench carried them home, while the Clippers’ starters sat out the final minutes.

The Phoenix Suns will face the Clippers again on Saturday night in Los Angeles, aiming to carry their momentum from the road.

Green’s debut, though, will be the headline. Explosive. Confident. Effortless. The kind of first impression that hints at something special brewing in the desert.
