The Broncos vs Raiders clash lit up in the third quarter, as both teams battled through penalties, pressure, and pivotal plays.
The Denver Broncos clawed their way back into rhythm, edging ahead by the end of the quarter in what was becoming a gritty showdown under the lights in Las Vegas.
Broncos Battle Back with Grit and Guts
The second half started with trouble for Denver. A holding penalty on the return trapped them at their own nine-yard line.
Then, a false start deepened the damage. JK Dobbins pushed for two yards, but it wasn’t enough; another quick three-and-out, their fifth of the game.
Punter Jeremy Crawshaw delivered a booming 54-yard kick from his own end zone. A holding flag on Las Vegas offered some relief, flipping the field position slightly in Denver’s favour.
Finally, the offence started to click. Dobbins found lanes. Bo Nix powered forward on a quarterback sneak to move the chains. A neat swing pass to Adam Prentice added 13 more yards, and suddenly, the Broncos had momentum.
Dobbins ran hard again, seven yards, then ten more, slicing through defenders to cross into Raiders territory. RJ Harvey joined in with a tidy catch-and-run, though a false start slowed things down.
A trick play to Courtland Sutton was sniffed out, losing yards and forcing a 59-yard field goal attempt that fell short.
Still, Denver wasn’t done. Their defence came alive, and just when the Raiders thought they had control, disaster struck for Las Vegas.
Raiders Falter as Denver Defence Dominates
On their very first play after the missed field goal, Geno Smith’s pass deflected off his receiver straight into Dondrea Tillman’s waiting arms, a nightmare turnover.

But the Broncos couldn’t capitalise immediately. An offensive pass interference penalty knocked them out of scoring range, and another punt followed.
Las Vegas tried to respond but couldn’t find any rhythm. Denver’s defence locked them down completely, forcing yet another three-and-out.
Then came the big moment, JL Skinner sliced through the line and blocked the punt, setting the Broncos up deep in the red zone.

As the quarter ticked down, Denver took advantage. A composed field goal found its mark.
