McDonald’s Unveils “Never-Before-Seen” International Menu – Hitting UK Stores Tomorrow
McDonald’s is about to take British taste buds on a global adventure. The countdown is over: the fast food giant’s brand-new international menu lands in UK outlets tomorrow, Wednesday, October 22.
For the first time ever, UK beaneries can test eight unique particulars inspired by flavors from around the world, ranging from Canada to Malaysia.
The menu promises bold tastes, quirky twists, and some doubtful combinations that are bound to spark discussion.
A taste of Canada kicks things off with the Maple BBQ & Bacon Double Quarter Pounder.
“It’s a Canadian twist on a classic featuring two juicy Quarter Pounder beef patties, with creamy Maple BBQ sauce, bacon, cheese, crispy onions, and pickles served in a toasted sesame seed bun.” This burger is indulgent, smoky, and just a little sweet.
Australia is next with the Pineapple McSpicy. A fiery chicken burger featuring 100% chicken breast, crispy coating, bacon, cheese, lettuce, and a slice of tropical pineapple, all brought together with classic sandwich sauce.
The heat is balanced perfectly by the pineapple’s sweetness.
Chicken nugget fans aren’t left out. From Japan comes the Garlic & Black Pepper McNuggets, made from 100% chicken breast in a crispy coating with garlic and black pepper, served with a Garlic & Soy Mayo dip.
“Made from 100 per cent chicken breast in a crispy coating, with garlic and a kick of black pepper, served with a Garlic & Soy Mayo dip.”
Fries get a makeover, too. Poland-inspired Sour Cream & Black Pepper McShaker Fries come with a sachet of seasoning to shake into the bag yourself.
McDonald’s promises: “Shake it up, and enjoy fries that are peppered with fun!”
Heading to the UAE, the Mac & Cheese Triangles offer a cheesy snack. Triangles of fop in a cheddar sauce, carpeted in crisp breadcrumbs, paired with a Tomato Ketchup dip.
Cate suckers have plenitude to celebrate. Indonesia contributes the Choco Caramel Pie, a chocolate confection filled with molten caramel and chocolate ganache.
Malaysia offers two indulgent McFlurries: Chocolate or Caramel Pretzel McFlurry. “The McFlurry is made from a creamy soft serve swirled with crunchy pretzel pieces with either a chocolate or caramel sauce.”
Finally, Japan inspires the limited-edition drink, Sakura x Sprite. “Sprite Zero meets sugar-free Sakura syrup, served over ice for a crisp, delicate drink.” A floral and fizzy twist on the classic soft drink.
All these international delights are available for a limited time, so fans are advised to try them before they disappear.
