Poundland Sells Cadbury Selection Boxes for Just 25p

Poundland’s Cadbury Selection Boxes Fly Off the Shelves at Just 25p – but There’s a Catch

Brits on the hunt for a festive bargain have been racing online after spotting Poundland Cadbury selection boxes for an astonishing 25p each.

The Christmas chocolate favourite, normally sold for £2.50 at other supermarkets, briefly appeared on Poundland’s website – sparking a rush that left the item sold out in record time.

The 125g box included a line-up of Cadbury classics such as Dairy Milk Freddo Caramel, Fudge, Crunchie, a Dairy Milk Little Bar, Treatsize Buttons and Wispa.

It was the ultimate Christmas stocking filler at a fraction of the price. But those hoping to grab the deal now will find the listing marked for “browsing only” as Poundland moves away from online shopping.

A notice on the company’s website confirmed the shift: “From the 16th September, our website will be for browsing only and Poundland Perks will be closing.”

The message continues: “While we know most of our online shoppers also visit us regularly in stores (thank you!), we know this will be disappointing to all who’ve been using our online ordering service.”

The bargain chain added that it is “working hard to simplify and refocus” its stores, promising “even more ranges at £1 and new items to shop each week.”

It also warned: “Unfortunately, we will no longer be providing an online delivery service from the 16th September 2025.”

Poundland has confirmed that its Perks app will also be retired, although reward vouchers remain valid in-store until 15 January 2026.

“We’ll miss you shopping on our website,” the statement concluded.

“But it will still be here for you so that you can check out our exciting year-round and seasonal product ranges and find all our store locations and opening times.

We really look forward to welcoming you to one of our hundreds of stores right across the UK.”

Despite the online closure, Poundland is already embracing the festive spirit in-store. Its Christmas Food and Drink range is rolling out early, featuring not only Cadbury selection boxes but also seasonal favourites from KitKat and Haribo.

Shoppers can expect chocolate, sweets, biscuits, stockings, decorations and even Christmas jumpers.

The 25p Cadbury deal may have been a fleeting online treat, but it’s a clear sign that the high street retailer is determined to draw crowds into its physical shops this holiday season.

For those planning ahead for Christmas stockings, it might be worth heading to your nearest Poundland before the next bargain disappears.
