White City Fire: Blaze Engulfs Former BBC Television Centre in West London
A major fire broke out beforehand this morning at the former BBC Television Centre in White City, West London.
Roughly 100 firefighters and 15 fire machines responded to the blaze, which was reported just after 3 a.m.
“The fire is currently affecting floors towards the top of the building. A restaurant, external decking and ducting is currently alight. An unknown number of flats have also potentially been affected by the fire.”
Crews continue to work at the scene of a fire in White City.

The fire is concentrated on the upper bottoms of the nine-storey Helios Building, which has been reworked into 162 domestic units, a spa, and a 47-room hostel after the BBC moved out in 2013.
Near structures are being evacuated as a precaution, and a rest centre has been set up for residents who had to leave their homes.
Wood Lane is closed to business, and the public is advised to avoid the area. First reports of the fire were entered just after 3 a.m., with crews from Hammersmith, North Kensington, Kensington, Chiswick, and girding stations transferred to the scene.
Two 32-metre turntable graduations are being used as water halls to attack the deer from height.
The cause of the fire is presently unknown, and examinations are ongoing. Exigency services continue to work at the scene to ensure the fire is completely brought under control.
